Shelley Abraham is the founder and managing director of Physio Fitness, a physiotherapy practice which launched in March 2007.
Shelley has been qualified as a chartered physiotherapist since 1994, gaining a Bachelor of Science degree (1994) and a Master of Science in Neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy (2000).
She spent her first six years as a physiotherapist working in the NHS, alongside orthopaedic consultants and rheumatologists, dealing with a variety of conditions. Since then, she has worked in private practice, consolidating and expanding her knowledge and skills through numerous courses.
She has worked with many sports clubs over the years, as well as with the British Judo Squad. She is a member of the Cumberland Tennis Club and therefore has a keen interest in tennis players. She also looks after the UCS Old Boys Rugby club.
Specialist areas:
- Orthopaedics and sports injuries (working very closely with many consultants/specialists in these fields).
- Manipulation of joints
- Acupuncture.

JENNY GRAHAM BSc (Hons) PHYSIOTHERAPY MCSP

Jenny qualified in Glasgow in 2004 and went on to work in the NHS for the next 2.5 years. During this time she worked in various different departments. Jenny then went overseas for the next two year, working in both New Zealand and Australia where she worked with sports medicine doctors in specialised private clinics. Whilst there, she continued to develop her skills completing a variety of courses that included; acupuncture, kinetic control, casting and sports first aid.
Since she left University Jenny has always been actively involved with sports teams and associations. These include the Scottish Football Association, Wellington Maori Rugby team and the Northern Tigers. Working with athletes with musculoskeletal injuries is her main focus of work. This interest links closely to her social life, as she plays football and has done so in New Zealand, Australia and Scotland.
Jenny is currently undertaking a masters in sports exercise and medicine at Queen Mary University in London.
KIERAN CUMMINS BSc (Hons) MCSP

Kieran Cummins is a highly skilled physiotherapist who specializes in manual therapy and sports rehabilitation with seven years experience.
He has been qualified as a chartered physiotherapist since 2002 where he gained a Bachelors of Science degree with honours. He is currently studying his Masters of Science in Neuromuscularskoletal in Physiotherapy, which he aims to finish within a year.
After qualifying, Kieran worked within the NHS in a North West London Hospital. During that time he was able to gain experience in a busy department with a mixed case load of people complaining of recurrent back pain and conditions affecting the upper and lower limbs. It was also during this time that Kieran started to work in a tennis club treating their members with sport related injuries.
Over the past couple of years Kieran worked in a private clinic in St Pauls. It was here that he developed his skills in Pilates but more importantly the use of it to aid in the return to sports related injuries and problems relating to modern life. This was allied by the use of ergonomics assessments and Manual therapy.
His main interests include:-
• Movement analysis and video analysis. Particularly useful for runners with recurrent injuries to assess altered biomechanics and muscle imbalance.
• Manipulative Therapy that allows him to maintain and restore normal movement and functional ability
• Functional Pilates, teaching the basic exercises and progressing people through to high level exercise program.

David completed his physiotherapy degree in 2002 from Otago University in New Zealand. Upon graduating, he moved into private practice in the musculoskeletal field of physiotherapy. David worked for three years in Dunedin, NZ, in a private practice before combining physiotherapy with playing rugby semi-professionally. He has played rugby in Australia, Scotland, New Zealand and England, the latter, where he continues to play today. David is experienced in treating a wide variety of complaints from occupational (work related) injuries to the rehabilitation of professional athletes in a number of sports. David has a firm focus in exercise rehabilitation in conjunction with manual therapy techniques to achieve the most beneficial outcome for the patient.
