"Two time Olympic athlete Stephanie Douglas joins Physio Fitness as a massage therapy specialist". Special London Marathon Offer - See Below
We’re delighted to announce that former elite athlete Stephanie Douglas has joined Physio Fitness at the Hampstead practice in North London.
Stephanie is qualified to treat a variety of general and sports specific conditions, using her favoured techniques of deep tissue massage, trigger point release, muscle energy techniques and soft tissue release. Stephanie is not only trained in sports related massage, but also in massage for those of us suffering with the general muscle tension due to our busy and stressful lifestyles.
Stephanie has competed in all major Athletics Championships including two Olympic Games (’92 and ’96), and World Championships, representing Team GB. She is still placed in the UK’s Top Twenty all time fastest women over 60 and 100m.
Having partaken in this extremely high level of sporting competition, Stephanie has experienced many injuries over the years. She therefore has an excellent understanding of the anatomy of the human body and how injuries can occur. She has received many treatments herself and knows only too well the therapeutic benefits of sports massage.
Founder of Physio Fitness, Shelley Abraham comments: “We’re delighted to have Stephanie on board at Physio Fitness. Her experience as a top class athlete and now as a top class massage therapist is an immense asset to the team.
Stephanie Douglas adds: “I am very pleased to be joining a top practice like Physio Fitness. I strongly believe that the healthier the state of the body, the faster we heal. Massage can improve the circulation and flexibility of the muscles and therefore reduce the likelihood of injuries and improve performance.
I know that many of Physio Fitness’s patients are not looking for a firm sports massage, but a gentler approach to reduce the pain they have from muscle tightness. My long-term aim is to mirror my success as an international athlete by becoming an outstanding massage therapist.”
Massages cost £65 per hour, or £35 for 30 minutes and can be booked by calling 020 7183 4436.
We would also like to introduce an ongoing “Refer a Friend” scheme***. You know how great you feel after a massage and how essential it is to your health. How about sharing your love of massage with a friend? For every referral you make, you’ll receive a £5 credit off your next massage after your friend comes in for their treatment!**
Use them as you get them or save them up and use them all at once. It's up to you! No limits to how many referral rewards you can receive.
** Physio Fitness will notify you by email or postal mail when you have earned a Referral Reward. The rewards may not be shared or used with other discounts or promotions and have no cash value.
***The "refer a friend " scheme can not be used with any other offers.
